Mindful Eating

I am trying to develop the habit of enjoying each mouthful of food to the last chew, rather than just putting the next bite in my mouth without thinking about eating. So, eating and chewing become a mindful experience not just shoveling food in to get to the next bite.
This has been effective over the past few months and I have lost about 10% of my body weight.

Being a person who craves sweets, about once a month, we have a regular size portion of dessert for dinner. It is very filling and satisfying knowing we can do it again in a month if we feel like it. I still try to savor each bite of the dessert as I do with all of my other food. If it is chocolate, I have it with milk
